You must be sponsored by your child or their partner

In addition, depending on which type of Parent Visa you apply for, you may need to meet other eligibility requirements such as:
Pass the “Balance of Family” test (at least half of your children live in Australia)
Pay an “Assurance of Support” bond
Meet an age requirement

Sponsorship Application (completed by the sponsoring child)
Visa Application (by parent applicant) and payment of initial fee
Payment of remaining fees (if applicable) at approval stage
